Stanwell Benchmade #37

I’ve been looking for one of these pipes for some time now, and luckily I now have one in my possession. From my research I believe it’s from somewhere between 1965 and 1980. I’ve sent the pics across to Stanwell to see if they can help me date it. I absolutely love this thing, and I haven’t even smoked it yet. I will say it was *filthy* on the inside and I went through nearly 10 pipe cleaners on it. I’m debating sending it out for a clean, ream, and polish to really make it sparkle.

Like a kid on Christmas morning

I opened the door this morning and found a package waiting for me. The poor pipes must have been out in the cold all night.

At long last I finally will have a nice stand for my pipe collection thus far. I’ve really been wanting one with a circular design, but I also lucked out in the fact that it’s a labeled 7 day stand, and the walnut looks great.
